What we collect
- Account data: email address, account identifiers, verification status, role, block or suspension status, and a hashed password if you use password sign-in. We never store your original password.
- Usage data: submitted URLs, detected host, file name or title returned by the host when available, resulting file size, generation status, error codes, and timestamps.
- Billing data: payment provider, payment reference, plan, amount, currency, status, and related billing metadata. Stripe, PayPal, or NowPayments process payment details; we do not receive full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, device and request metadata, rate-limit records, security logs, and standard server logs.
- Support and abuse data: support tickets, messages, reports, complaints, abuse-review notes, and actions taken on an account or submitted URL.
How we use it
- To provide the link generation service.
- To authenticate users and manage accounts.
- To enforce daily download caps and prevent abuse.
- To process payments, refunds, disputes, and fraud checks.
- To respond to support requests and account inquiries.
- To detect, block, investigate, and prevent illegal activity, prohibited content, copyright infringement, account abuse, payment abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- To maintain security, debug errors, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
URL review and abuse prevention
To help keep illegal activity off the platform, we may automatically and manually review submitted download URLs and related metadata. This can include the submitted URL, detected host, file name or title returned by the host, file size, generation result, timestamps, account identifiers, IP address, and other technical signals.
Automated checks may be used to detect suspicious patterns, blocked URLs, known abuse indicators, copyright complaints, malware or fraud signals, sexually exploitative content indicators, child-safety risks, and other activity prohibited by our Terms. Manual review may occur when systems flag activity, when we receive complaints or legal requests, when payment or account abuse is suspected, or when needed to protect the Service, users, rights holders, third parties, or the public.
If we identify or reasonably suspect prohibited activity, we may block URLs, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve relevant records, and report information to hosting providers, rights holders, payment processors, law enforcement, child-safety authorities, or other appropriate parties where permitted or required by law.
Prohibited content and illegal activity
The Service must not be used for child sexual abuse material, sexually exploitative content, non-consensual intimate imagery, pirated or copyright-infringing content, malware, fraud, trafficking, terrorism, harassment, doxxing, or any other illegal activity. We may process account, usage, billing, and technical data to enforce these restrictions and protect the platform.
What we do not do
- We do not host, upload, mirror, or permanently store files from third-party file hosts.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
- We do not track you across third-party websites for advertising.
Submitted URLs and related metadata are not private from Debridly. We may process and review them as described in this Policy and our Terms.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies and similar storage for authentication, security, session management, preferences, and core app functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
When we share information
We may share limited information when necessary to operate the Service, process payments, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, investigate abuse, prevent harm, protect rights and safety, or comply with legal obligations.
- The originating file host, as needed to process a submitted URL.
- Stripe, PayPal, or NowPayments for payment processing and fraud checks.
- Infrastructure, database, email, security, analytics, and support providers.
- Rights holders or their agents when handling copyright or abuse complaints.
- Law enforcement, courts, regulators, child-safety authorities, or emergency responders where legally required or where we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm or illegal activity.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect account and usage data. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Bandwidth ledger entries, submitted URLs, generated-link metadata, technical logs, and abuse-review records may be retained for at least 90 days for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, payment disputes, and abuse investigation.
Records connected to blocked accounts, copyright complaints, illegal activity, chargebacks, disputes, or legal requests may be retained longer where necessary to protect the Service, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Deleted accounts and their personal data are removed or de-identified within 30 days unless retention is necessary for these purposes.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, object to processing of, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account directly from the Dashboard, or email support@debridly.com for other requests.
We may decline or limit requests where retaining information is necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our Terms.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we identify child-safety risks or child sexual abuse material, we may preserve and report relevant information as required or permitted by law.
International processing
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Changes
We will post changes to this Policy on this page. Material changes may be announced by email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
